Well, hello again

We haven’t written a blog post since August 1st, which is practically CENTURIES AGO in internet time. We could just apologize and beg your forgiveness, but the reality is we aren’t sorry, not in the least. We were damn busy, and at some point something’s gotta give! (Speaking of which, the movie is a perfect pizza and white wine night pairing. Get into it.)

So what kept us away for so long? Well…

Our wine finally arrived! After more than two years of setting up the business and four months of trying to get our shipment to America, it arrived in early August. The saga of how everything went down could fill a small book, but suffice it to say it was not easy. But it’s here, and the wines are out in the world, and we are so, so happy.

We were in Europe for nearly 40 days! Literally 10 days after our wine arrived we hopped a plane to return to Croatia. We were all over the place, in Slavonia, down on the Adriatic, in our favorite city on earth Zagreb, and in Istria. We also did a stint in Italy for good measure, because why the hell not? We connected with old friends, saw some of our wineries, and had a number of meetings all across the country. We’ve got some big plans in the works that involve a bit more than wine, and we are excited to begin sharing them with you in the coming months.

Oh, and we got married! On September 2nd at the beautiful Villa Polesini in Istria we stood in front of nearly 60 friends from across the globe and said, “We do.” It was a whirlwind weekend and we are still on a bit of a high from the whole experience, but suffice it to say we will be bombarding all of our social media accounts with photos and videos as soon as we get them back from the amazing team at DT Studio.

So, we’ve been up to some stuff. And in reality, we have been feeling a bit bummed that School of Home took a backseat during all of the insanity, but we are just brimming with new ideas and plans for this website and our social media channels and are ready to back to work! You can expect to see much more travel and food related content from us, as well as a continued focus on the LGBTQ+ community as a whole.

Reach out, give us a follow on Facebook and Instagram, and stay tuned!

Love,

Harper & Matt
