SCHOOL OF HOME IS about LEARNING THROUGH LIVING: CREATIVELY DEFINING OUR NOTION OF "HOME."
Spring subscriptions for the Firsthand Foods (M)eat Local Box are now open - the new series of boxes starts April 1st!
It is our firm belief that great meat doesn’t need a whole lot done to it to taste delicious. When we saw the Ribeye roast in the meat box from Firsthand Foods instinct told us to salt and pepper it but otherwise leave it alone. While that would certainly taste delicious, it’s not much of a recipe, is it? We decided to push the boundaries a bit and head look to Argentina for inspiration.
Another Firsthand Foods Meat Box winner! Our version of Osso Bucco puts an Asian twist on what is traditionally an Italian dish. All of the flavors of Korean barbecue come together to make a meltingly-tender, tangy, and slightly spicy ode to one of our favorite cuts of meat.
We’re teaming up with local meat purveyors Firsthand Foods to bring you a new recipe each month for delicious, sustainably-raised local meats. The first recipe is for a beautiful cut of beef called a Manhattan Roast. This is dinner party material y’all!
We are, at our core, nomadic; exploring the world and documenting it all as we go.
We invite you to read, engage, and grow along with us as this project evolves to include your story. Who knows what being a part of School of Home will teach us, especially if you come along for the ride?
